I'll be honest...Based on incidents of the last year I was about to take this front page down until further notice. But I've decided to leave it up and give a brief explanation of the behind the scenes issues.

Due to ongoing medical problems, all progress at KathyLaBonte.com has stopped. I have a few health conditions that have made it very difficult to continue writing, recording, and producing the new music tracks that are slated to be on the next upcoming album release. So as not to cause undue alarm, rest assured nothing is life threatening. Nevertheless, it has all been extremely disruptive and an uphill battle.

I prefer to keep my health issues private, however, I will share one of the few problems with you. It is called Sweet Syndrome and it is a rare skin disease that has hit me twice in the last 6 months. In my case, it attacked both hands (making music creation very difficult). Large boils and painful lesions erupted on my fingers, hands and arms. It took several trips to the ER, countless antiobiotics, and finally a specialist to discover what it was. They are now getting better with the proper steroid treatment but will most likely continue to come back. Coupled with some other health challenges, fatigue has been an additional deterrent. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have just built a brand new beautiful recording studio and to constantly be up against obstacles and roadblocks that stop the creation and production of music from flowing freely.

I am by no means giving up. I just have to be realistic that things are going to take longer than normal. The songs will be done when they are done.

To those who have followed my career and enjoyed my music, I thank you for your continued support. I apologize that there has been such a dry spell but I promise you wonderful new music as soon as I'm healthy enough to complete it. When there's a rough mix on any of the new material I'll have some samples up to share.
